A Park

In America, the word "park" can mean a park in a city, but it can also describe a beautiful natural habitat where visitors can enjoy the protected environment. In addition to breathtaking views and an opportunity to see wildlife up close, most of these parks offer hiking trails, picnic areas, campgrounds, and/or fishing spots along with other attractions.
Parks can be owned by the federal government, state government, or by communities. National and State Parks charge visitors a fee; parks owned by communities may charge a fee or, like the one in this picture, be free to the public. Parks usually feature well-organized informational visitor centers where people can view informational exhibits, pick up maps to the park, and buy souvenirs.

Just Like Home / Wie auf der Alb

American landscapes continue to fascinate me.
In this case, not because they are so different, but because they look so much like the southern part of Germany where I am from.
